Villa Angela - טאורמינה

We had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay. The breakfast room and the choices were good. We liked having the pool, though the water was awfully cold. Nice hotel all in all.

Great friendly service and advice from Katharine & her team from initial booking of our holiday, through to departure. Hotel Villa Angela is in a lovely location, up the hill outside town (not in walking distance) but don't be put off by that as there is easy access by hotel shuttle bus to the central part of town with it's shops & restaurants.Times are arranged beforehand with reception but you can call to change pick up times if you need to. Hotel will also arrange a shuttle for you to the nearby beaches, the minibus will pick you up and bring you back - you pay 10 euros for it but that also includes sunbeds for the day which we thought was good value. We stayed in the Etna Suite which was lovely, well equiped and spacious. Nice pool although we spent most of our time on the beach. Breakfast typically continental but all very fresh. All in all a very chilled out and relaxed place with top class service. My friends & I would all highly recommended it and definitely stay there again.

Only minor things that would have made it absolutely perfect and in no way would prevent me from staying there again. Would have liked tea & coffee making facilities in the room. And a shower room to change in after checkout if there are no spare rooms. The only place to have a wash in is the toilets - they're spacious enough but not quite the same as being able to shower especially after you've spent the day on the beach. Beds are quite firm which will suit many people but a mattress topper would have made it more comfy for me (but that's just personal taste!).

We had a fabulous stay at Hotel villa Angela, The staff are really welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent. The Balcony was very spacious. The maids always cleaned the room to a hight standard. The shuttle service was great as it was a long climb back to the hotel.

I just missed not having tea making facilities for in the morning in my room, all though you can order room service, but did not want to bother the staff so early.

Everything was wonderful - the location, staff and rooms were excellent.

I would struggle to find anything to criticise

Superb location with an unsurpassed view of Etna. Friendly efficient helpful staff.

Everything ....what a superb place to stay

The view from the hotel is incredible...

Food very poor, ordered a caesars salad and salad that arrived was far from a caesars salad!! Sandwiches a bit like cardboard. Dinner only twice a week but abstained, great restaurant close by thank goodness

The views are amazing and the staff very friendly and helpful. Quiet air con and good wifi.

No tea or coffee in the room and toiletries "on request"

The room had a balcony with a wonderful view, with Etna facing you, the beautiful bay to one side and a view of the charming hilltop village of Castelmola to the other side. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, dinner was excellent. Room was very comfortable. Shuttle service to Taormina was excellent.

Breakfast whilst good would have benefited from some more local produce, ie local jams and almond/pistachio cream filled croissants, as we had had elsewhere in Sicily and were delicious. It was a pity the restaurant was only open 2 nights of the week as the food was excellent and the view from the terrace possibly one of the best you could get. Liked the Sicilian music they played in the restaurant, but sound system could have been better. These are minor points, however, as overall the hotel is excellent.

The view, the decor, the size of the hotel and, most of all, the delightful staff.

The views from the hotel was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful nothing was a problem to organise or share local knowledge. The hotel property was kept clean.

Stayed 4 days, 2of those days hot water ran out. Showered in cold water. The bed was terribly hard. The 'deluxe'room feels like a "standard room". "Deluxe" fancy word to describe the room. There is a shuttle service takes you to the city centre (3mins drive) but guest must pay for that service. Every morning hearing furniture being moved from the rooms above.

Quality of the operation!

Wonderful views of the volcano, lovely terrace to have breakfast and for evening drinks, wonderful staff, beautiful room with four poster bed, thoroughly enjoyed this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Only v small niggle is long, steep walk uphill back to hotel. However would stay there again without hesitation, as views are spectacular and staff and rooms lovely. You can book the hotel minibus which will come and pick you up if you give them half an hours notice - if you don't want to wait taxi from main square is 15 euros.

The staff were all so nice and very helpful. The hotel was excellent and had the best views of any where we have every stayed. The breakfast was excellent.
